Sierra 101 Wins 2018 GOOD DESIGN Award

It’s customary to close out the year with a little celebration, so we are tooting our own horn just a little.

We are very pleased to announce that our Sierra 101 blade putter has just been selected as a 2018 GOOD DESIGN Award winner!

Founded in Chicago in 1950, GOOD DESIGN remains the oldest and the world’s most recognized program for design excellence worldwide.

This year, the Museum received a record number of submissions from the world’s leading manufacturers and industrial and graphic design firms representing the most important and critical mass of influential corporations in the design industry from over 47 countries.

“This year’s historic 68th Good Design program," states Christian Narkiewicz-Laine, Museum President, The Chicago Athenaeum, “recognizes the work of thousands of designers and manufacturers worldwide who have successfully undertaken the design challenge to produce the best and most outstanding design products across the globe to our large and expanding global consumers." “Good Design represents the world’s critical mass of the design and manufacturing industry representing the best consumer design ranging from the ‘spoon to the city’ for sustainability, superior design, and unparalleled function.”

In October/November, the 68th GOOD DESIGN jury met in Los Angeles and New York and selected over 900 product designs and graphics from over 46 nations worthy of the GOOD DESIGN Award for their Design Excellence.

We have always been committed to the idea that golfers deserve the best that modern technology and design can offer, so receiving this incredible honor means a lot to us. Golf equipment is often overlooked in design competitions, so I’m particularly proud that our Sierra putter was the ONLY golf related product in this year’s crop of winners.
