Sentio Golf to exhibit at 2016 PGA Merchandise Show

NEWS RELEASE – First-time exhibitor Sentio™ Golf will debut their innovative Sierra line of putters at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla.  The Sierra line features a patented construction, called “Dynamic Response”, which improves feel and accuracy for players of all levels.

Sentio’s Dynamic Response technology separates the entire grooved metal face from the rest of the putter head with a vibration dampening polymer core.  This construction creates a softer feel than solid putters but with more “pop” than an insert, a combination Sentio believes can improve distance control.  “By changing the durometer, or hardness, of the polymer core we can alter how an impact feels on the face, providing golfers with a way to choose the putter they want based on feel preference” says Jim Varney, President of Sentio Golf.  The Sierra is available in three models, each with a color-coded core; green for soft, red for medium, and blue for firm.  Other benefits, such as perpendicular alignment, perimeter weight distribution, and off-center forgiveness come courtesy of the putters’ unique construction.

According to industry surveys, 85% of golfers say that “feel” is the most important factor when choosing a putter.  “We know feel is personal”, notes Jim, “but it also has an effect on performance.”  Polymer-based inserts reduce the energy transferred to the ball by as much as 15% compared to non-insert putters, requiring a longer stroke to putt the same distance which can exaggerate flaws and make judging distance difficult.  Adds Jim, “With the Sierra, golfers no longer have to trade distance control and accuracy for a softer feel; they can have it all.”

When tested for accuracy against three popular blade putters from the biggest names in golf, Sentio’s Sierra came out on top.  As Jim explains, “After analyzing hundreds of putts from 12 testers of different skill levels, we found the Sierra was 8% closer to the hole on average than the CNC milled putter, and 16% closer than the insert.  This shows that our technology makes judging distance easier and more intuitive, which leads to lower scores.”

The Sierra line of blade putters includes three models: 101-60 Soft, 101-70 Medium, and 101-90 Firm.  MSRP for the Sierra 101 putters is $249.  Features include: 350g head weight, 3 degrees face loft, 72 degrees lie angle, full offset plumber hosel, 4:00 toe hang, 304 SS face and body, satin silver PVD finish, and Pure mid-size grip.  Additional information is available online at www.sentiogolf.com.

Sentio Golf will be exhibiting at booth 3329 and in the New Product Zone.  The 2016 PGA Merchandise Show runs from January 27-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
